State pension forecast e-service

As my wife has turned 60 and is reducing her hours at work,we decided to go online to get an updated state pension forecast. Logged in to the Govt. Gateway using her user ID and password as previously set up - however after cogitating for ~ 60 seconds the website decided that we needed to activate the service and told us that a code would be sent within 7 days as if we were just enrolling!
Anyone else tried to get an e-forecast lately??

To answer my own question -looks like the system is s****ed. I decided to test by inputting my log in credentials -it came up with my NI number. ...but no name and a birthdate of January 1753 !!! When I tried to continue it says that I will be sent a forecast in the post ...and now won't let me back in because " I have requested a forecast within 40 days" -absolutely no use to man or beast!!!

I tried it a few weeks ago and got an error code, I contacted the helpline and they said that there is a problem with the system for some people and that they had no idea when it would be fixed as there has been problems for a few months.
Anyway they gave me another number to call and I received a forecast about a week later.

Same here. Logged in successfully, put in my correct dob & NI number and it keeps telling me that I need to call the helpdesk...

Only offer this to show it is not a generic problem. Today at 15:44 it worked perfectly for me.

Hope it works for everyone soon

To add further clarification to my original post - apparently a woman over 60 now has to re-register every time for access !! see https://www.gov.uk/state-pension-statement.
My issue appears to be a different one!!

A few months ago I had a problem logging on and spoke to some help desk guy who said there was a known problem with people using the Chrome browser.

I used Internet Explorer and it worked OK.

...I can't attempt to log in again for either of us - my OH is waiting for an activation code ...and I'm waiting for a posted forecast......based on 240 years plus NI contributions I'm expecting a Pools win:rotfl::rotfl:

Interestingly, I was using the Chrome browser. Will try again with IE & see if it works...

I have no problems with Chrome, although the site itself is sometimes temperamental. The entry of the password field is totally blx though. I have to type my password into (say) Notepad, use Ctrl-C to copy it and Ctrl-V to paste it into the password field. Otherwise the site won't allow me to type some of the letters in my password...
