Any one seen or used one of these?

Seems to attach to your heating system and they are quoting some decent fuel saving possibilities. Obviously it could all be rubbish, I have googled around and haven't found much.

    What do people think?

It reminds me of the experience of the father of an American friend who responded to an ad. "send $10 to find out how to make a fortune". He got a reply: "fish for suckers like I do".

So if they're so great - how come the website has disappeared into the ether?

utter !!!!. compare the specific heats of air and water. it may improve efficiency of the system in terms of how much heat can be transferred round the loop, but that will come at an increased fuel usage! you dont get heat from nothing! Same with the carbon efficiency figures! utter con.

I installed one in my own property a couple of years ago. From my pre and post installation measurements of gas consumption. literally I set an hour on full heating demand a few times. I measured just over a 6% saving. As my boiler is a pretty efficient boiler anyway I wasn't expecting a huge saving and I am happy with it.

I generally don't recommend it for smaller properties, but for bigger properties or businesses or those who are not on mains gas I include a deaerator recommendation in my energy efficiency advice reports.

Do you not think it would have been tested by WHICH or a Government agency like EST if it had any merit?

Saves 29% of your energy using vortex technology?

I bought 5, hoping to reduce my energy consumption by 95% :D
Why stop there? Buy another and you'll have more oil in your tank the more you run the heating. :T
  • You could have a look at Vortex Energy Saver they have lots of testing done on there product all showing substantial savings. I've installed a few for customers and no complaints.
