so, it actually cleans windows as well as drying them ? Do you have to use a special window cleaning liquid or cream, or the "usual" window cleaning brands, or just plain water ?

Sorry if this is a silly question !

It doesn't clean the windows. You clean as normal (I use a spray bottle with a little detergent and soft water to wipe the windows down). Then 'vac' the dirty water up. Leaves a streak free clean every time. Having a number of large feature windows and hating to see streaks and fingerprints I thought I'd try one. It's one of the best gadgets I own and now wouldn't be without it. And i am picky about useful gadgets. Bought mine from the karcher outlet for half the new price and it was as good as new. An honest recommendation for anyone who hates dirty windows and doesn't mind cleaning themselves.

Its Ok if you are only cleaning a few windows... If you have a lot to clean on a regular basis, its not that good.
I use to be a window cleaner & tbh its no better a window cleaning blade.
  • Ive had one a couple of years & its one of the 'gadgets' that gets used constantly.....windows, tiles (bathroom tiled floor to ceiling on all walls!!), shower screens, & 3 greenhouses :) Disagree about no better than a blade as it sucks the liquid up which is much better indoors.

The basic model is all you need. I tend to use a window cleaner (cheap value brand) and a microfibre cloth for applying water/spray. Or a bucket of water and just a tiny amount of washing up liquid tend to do that when frames need a good clean and facias for bay window/porch. These are brilliant and leave windows sparkling clean. I can do all down stairs large bay 3 sided window porch, garage window, kitchen and patio and all inside windows. I leave upstairs for window cleaner

    In-built lithium ion battery

To be honest I only ever use ours on the bedroom windows as it is only these that are affected by condensation.
In constant use they never get the chance to get dirty.

I don't know what the charge life is in minutes, but it's enough to do a 10ft bay and 2 other good sized windows once per day for about 9 days;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Re. Battery life, it's not that brilliant (and maybe one area to improve). However I have a large 5 bed house with some big full length windows on the ground floor. I can do 3/4 of the house in & out before it runs out but as I tend to do a few rooms at a time as they need it, that has never been a problem for me. For something that cost a little over £30 it's proved invaluable. I'd also say that prior to that I'd always used a proper blade but could never achieve the same level of finish.

I've had my Karcher Window Vac, bought from Karcher Outlet, for a few weeks now and I use it everyday.

I bought it primarily to remove condensation from the windows but then started to use it in the bathroom after showering. I live in a small maisonette with a central bathroom. The bathroom has no external windows and is the source of most of the damp and condensation in my property. It's a bit of a faff and a little time-consuming to use it every time I shower, but so far the benefits have made the effort worthwhile. Not only do my bathroom tiles and shower screen always look clean and shiny, but it has reduced my condensation problems significantly.

I used it this morning to dry off my kitchen floor after washing it. I was amazed at how dirty the water was that I vacuumed up even after rinsing!

I agree about the battery life though, I have to recharge mine often.

Wish I'd bought it a lot sooner.
