The online booking system seems to be ok at the moment.

If you go to the homepage and click on the low cost bedroom finder on the bottom right and click through each week until the promo starts you should see rates in the boxes. Sometimes though the front page does not update inline with bookings on the next page (which seem to be in real time) so try various dates to find the offers left. If there are sale rooms left it will allow you to book them e.g.

I was lucky enough to get one of the £20 rooms (Ascot). Paid the £20 on a credit card but have noticed they have charged £22.50. This credit card fee was not declared up front with only a small statement hidden in the terms and conditions which I didn't see at the time ("If you pay with a credit card a small transaction fee will be charged").
Does a website need to declare this transaction fee up front?
I was under the impression they now needed to be in line with the cost incurred for using the card (12.5% in this case seems steep).
Just wondering peoples view on this. I know its only £2.50 but look after the pennies and all that...0 -
I wasted hours online trying to book a room via the De Vere venues website, and having contacting them by Facebook, only to be encouraged by De Vere venues Facebook administrator to try phoning the actual hotel , even though most Facebook users were complaining that when they phoned they had been put on hold for 60 minutes or more!
I missed out on 3 days consecutive booking at Daventry because the website kept crashing!
So Please will someone in authority at Money-saving expert ask the manager for De vere venues to explain why this happens every time they have a sale and please do not promote De Vere Venues until they offer better customer support.0
