but you still get Sky so he is still providing that service, even if it is reduced Sky your still getting it.

LL wins, also becuase it is not in your contract with the LL.

The room was advertised as having the full Sky package. It would be the equivalent of advertising a room as unlimited internet and then moving to a cheaper tariff because it will save some money.

in general you have the right to negotiate because one party to the contract is proposing a change to the contract. if you can't agree then your realistic options are limited, most of what you could do will revolve around court, meaning you should consider the possibility of a retailitory eviction. Best to pursue a dialogue!

    Probably right unfortunately.

    Are you a lodger?
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Sorry i never saw that (punish myself later) Then yes as she is breaching the terms of the agreement.

You can not force them to have the full package, but you can move out or ask for a rent reduction as the agreement you made is void.

Imform them in wrighting via post recorded delivery (as proof) if you live with LL it wont be a great atmosphere.

    Move out.

The LL doesn't live with us. It's a houeshare. I just rent a room in the house.
  • LL now claiming that the Sky services (along with the Internet & cleaner) are provided free of charge by the LL, and thus aren't contractual.

Heard the same excuse at my previous houseshare when the LL refused to fix the internet. Must be a common get out clause.

It is not 'free of charge', it is 'inclusive' and the advertisement is the evidence.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

    Exactly what I thought.

Unfortunately they have said they are still going ahead with it so I don't really have many options other than to move out.
