Morning everyone, not quite so cold here today, but no sun.
~I have a quick work related meeting this morning, then I'm off to meet my son at Wendover Woods. We usually have a coffee and then a longish walk.....he keeps sprinting, being told to slow down so that we can catch up all the way round! I have a wonderful photo of him sprinting up what is almost a cliff, hotly pursued by 2 members of staff!
Forgot to renew my prescription on time, so missed yesterday's dose and have a stonking headache to show for it. Will pick tablets up on my way out this morning. Meanwhile it's back to the zombie inducing pain killers, so apologies if I ramble and mis-tyoe stuff.
Pretty much up to date with washing, until I change the bed later today.
Lunch will be soup, dinner the veg and chorizo stew I made yesterday.
Finally got some Star Drops yesterday and must look up the threads that explain the best way to use it.
    Have a good day all.

    Morning everyone,

foreversaving hope things go well for your dad.

    Hilstep, Molly, LW Hugs.

I was woken by the postman today delivering the part that OH needs to mend his car, OH went back to sleep but I couldn't so I am up enjoying a cup of tea in the peace and quiet before anyone else gets up.

Need to collect DD2 from a sleepover later and probably need to go to the supermarket as we are low on food.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning all,

Very cold here again today, we had snow showers yesterday and meant to get some more today, it didn't stick though.

Will get a wash on the go after this, taking dd to work this morning, she has tomorrow off, which is good because she goes work very hard, 6 days out of 7 this week, along with college work, and volunteering.

Could not get cows liver at the butchers, but they have ordered me one for tomorrow, I got some lamns liver, and made little dog some treats, they are a bit like brownies for dogs :D and she loves them.

Today I need to clean through and do a wash, take the dog out for a walk, and then go and see my dad, shopping being delivered tonight.

Something with chips for dinner, will go and rummage in the freezer.

    Have good days all xx

Morning everyone. I love these lighter mornings and evenings.
Dog and I have both had our breakfast. The washing is half way through. Will be putting on line as always.

Around the house plans = wash up, it seems my job. I do several lots a day.

Take yesterdays washing off clothes horse. I air the washing after it has been on the line all day as it is still damp.

Scrub the cooker glass door. It gets all brown with cooking.
Baking soda and water made into a paste cleans it up so I can see the cooking without opening the door and losing some heat.

More tiding up and maybe some more decluttering if I find a new area. The home is looking good, I have been working on it since Febuary. I could wash some net curtains in the sink?

Cleaned the bathroom, quick and easy if you do it often.

Craft = I have completed my knitting of squares for a cushion cover front. I am going to crochet a big square for the back.

Dinner = home made cottage pie.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

    Morning all,

Very quiet day at work today, boss is out pretty much all day and I seem to be being ignored by the other girls in the office - no idea why (maybe because I had an extra day off?!) but they are very cliquey round here. Oh to be able to change jobs and work with normal people!

At my mum and dads today so no OS things to do, might order the online shop for tomorrow if I can as OH on call tomorrow night. Nephew over so we're having roast chicken for dinner. He's made a few friends round the corner from mum and dad so is really enjoying this half term :)

Hugs to all or need/want - I'm going to hibernate in my office :D

    Morning TTFTM and all,

Halight i'm glad you had a lovely time at the zoo. You picked a good day to go too as its considerably colder today.

nlj1520 have you got a chemist near you that will order your medication and deliver it to you? My local chemist orders my medication for me when i need it and delivers it to me too. They have pretty well taken it out of my hands. Mind you this is pretty new thing for me as up until fairly recently ive been ordering and collecting it myself. Not that it was that much hastle but half the time they didnt have the stock and i'd have to go back.... anyway now i'm waffling.:D

'Youngests' Girlfriend is going home today. Its been lovely having a girl in the house again (I fed her a bit too much again last night). Yes its been lovely having her (even if she shreiks a lot). Its been one heck of a responsibility having her stay over because of their ages but ive done my utmost to give them space to develop their frienship but not too much if you know what i mean.

Dogs are snoring quietly at my feet, ive just heard a shreik from the other room. I think i'll go and do something useful.

    Have a great day all.

Hi Tina - what is the exercise video? :)

I have heard a rumour that the taxable allowance is being raised this month to something like £9200 - has anyone else heard this as I've not seen it advertised anywhere and don't want to get my hopes up of a little 'payrise' if it's all just a storm in a teacup. :)

She was apparently like that with my son-in-law and his siblings when they were young as well, just little if any maternal instincts at all.Probably why my son-in-law is such a brilliant Dad with the boys as he doesn't want to miss a minute of their childhood and is very involved in their growing up .
I suppose different strokes for different folks,
Jackie I'm one of those who was in the loo when maternal instinct was dished out; I'm actually very uncomfortable around children, and cannot relate to them at all - I wonder if the boys' other Nanny feels like this, and finds it more comfortable to stay at a distance? 'Tis just a thought.:o I can cope with just about any variety of animal - I've even assisted with snake hatchlings - but ask me to look after a child and I'd run away very quickly; I just can't do it.:( The idea of holding a baby would bring me out in a cold sweat, I'd honestly be terrified.:(

Great news that Little Dog likes her treats.:T Is she a good girl with her jabs? Mary-Fairy-Fuzzy-Butt sends her love.:D

I was fiddling about with the webcam (integral on the netbook) yesterday; I've never bothered with it before as I don't really have a need for it, but Mary was on my lap so I couldn't do much else, so thought I'd have a tinker. Anyways, I got a good pic of me and Mary; I was surprised how easy it was! And no, I'm not posting it, it has my ugly fizzog on it!:rotfl:

    Afternoon All

Headlight -glad you had a good night's sleep cos I didn't! Woke up about 3am and dozed after that. Still, I will hopefully be dog tired tonight. Done lots of little jobs this morning, sewed up the slippers I knitted last night, gave the piano stool another coat of paint, oiled one of the worktops, wrote a couple of birthday cards, put 3 loads of washing on the line, stripped my bed and went to the doctors. I am now officially peri-menopausal!! I wish it would pass quickly, fed up being on a 2-3 week cycle.

Cold here but sunny in parts. Pasta and hm sauce for tea, hospice this afternoon. Not sure I really have time to work, the holidays are so busy!
    Take care. XX
