Virgin BB - £18.65 instead of £23,.65 pm

Just phoned Virgin Media and spoke to Phil on customer services. I told him that as I only have broadband - no tv or phone, that the monthly cost of £23.65 was too expensive. He replied that customers can get broadband for £18.65 per month, but only if they phone up to inquire about a discount.
Still think £18.65 is expensive though as I didn't ask for a speed increase, but they have increased their charges to reflect the increase in speed.
