So tell me, you buy the multipack and cut the coupons out....then what do you do with them? Do you buy more multipacks with the coupons or can you use the coupons against anything else that you buy?

You buy 500g boxes of cereal or cereal bars and get the money off with the coupon.

Or, of you can scan the coupons through your local Asda or Tesco, you can do that, from what I understand from previous threads.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    finesse left in our house.

Baby has shreddies, 2 year old fights for cookie crisp every morning, OH and I leaving the finesse until dire emergency.

Reminiscent of a couple of years ago when Finesse abounded with the Joey £3 vouchers...we ended up donating much finesse to our bermused neighbours (who'd already had free piles of beefburgers, chips and birds eye roast beef to accumulate clubcard points for our holiday of a lifetime)

    We moved house soon after:o

Basically that is what I have been doing, both in Tesco and also in Sainsburys surprisingly. I just get whatever packs I can with coupons on and then hand over a pile of the 25p and 30p coupons, mix in with my other shopping as well. No problem so far but even if thye refused them thye have long expiry dates so I just keep them for the next time. Not tried anywhere else yet, Morrisons dont do coupons the same and our Asda only takes 10%

Just got back from a tesco shop, I had quite a bit of shopping (including a bread roll) so had to go through usual checkout, I had bought another multipack of the cereal and I tried to use 3 of the coupons in the shop - it took 1 x 30p and 1 x 25p (the sa said only one of the 25p could be used, but don't know if he tried it or just looked at it and decided he couldn't take the same coupon twice) anyhow got home with my cereal and have checked the boxes.

Got 2 x 30p and 2 x 25p so 4p in credit this time :j It seems that the coupons (in my experience) are on the Shreddies (normal and cocoa) and the cookie crisp - in my tesco pack i got cinamon grahams (with a 30p coupon) but didn't get this pack in my morrisons onese so ended up with 2 x 25 and 1 x 30p - anyway sorry to waffle but just thought I would mention that the coupons seem to be on these boxes...

Is it right that you can scan several on the self scanners? and not need to buy any cereal? can someone let me know - am back in tesco later so was thinking of trying there.....

You can certainly scan a few off any shopping on the self-scan until it says 'coupon authorisation is needed' (amount differs in each store AFAIK). Then see what the supervising person does, if they authorise them without query then use a few more. If you get the Spanish Inquisition as to what coupons you have used then act a bit 'dumb blonde' and don't use any more.

Personally I would usually go to a till, you were unlucky to find a lad who would only scan one of each. They would have all scanned, just try another young person, or a kindly older man, on another till next time (as you probably know, the main 'rule' is to avoid middle-aged ladies who seem to think they are paying personally for any coupon-use).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad, I was a bit annoyed today as I picked a nice young lad and he turned out to be a bit of a jobsworth - kept asking if I had bought the item - he did put my 2 moc through for the Popz popcorn though - so that's my bargain of the day - 2 boxes for 79p...

Thanks to the person who said that with a bit of a push you can see the dotted blue line -its does work, I tried it today on some of the January dated boxes in my Tesco I'd dismissed as coupon less, actually had coupons on. Previously I would file my thumb nail to a point and use it to just split open the cellophane just a fraction so I could get to see a coupon - also useful for jabbing OH in the ribs at 6.45 in the monring and telling him the alarm had gone off :T

Doh!! I bought 2 packs yesterday and was wondering why i hadn't got any coupons, even checked to see if they were on the insides of the boxes...have just realised that they are in fact Kelloggs! Am very new to all this coupon/voucher business so am now off to shops to practise.
