A&L Financial Review £25

How long does it normally take before the £25 is credited to you account? I asked the question, but just got a secure message back saying I would receive it in due course.

Did you have to purchase any insurances to get the £25

    Hi Ioscorpio,

I received mine after about 5 weeks but they paid it into my plusaver account so I didn't notice it at first! I think it's quite random when they pay it though. Make sure you've sent back the form they give you at the time too.

    Regards

No - there's no need to purchase anything. I just went for the review, had a chat for about half an hour and that was it (as far as I'm aware, at the time I did it anyway, you could get an extra £50 if you took out any investments but I didn't want to do that.)

    Regards

It used to be advertised on the A&L website but hasn't been on there for a while now. I thought this meant that it had come to an end but a few other forumites have said they have still seen it advertised in their branches or been told about it by the CS on the phone so it may still be on offer. It's worth checking with your branch.

Hi JohalaReewi - that's what I thought. I guess they've just made it less visible on the website so anyone who wants to sign up for a financial review and does so online doesn't get the incentive

I closed my "Plus Saver" savings account with A&L as it weren't the best compared to competitors and only found out later that the incentive was going to be paid in to that. This caused a little bit of a problem for me but was resolved by calling someone at branch where I had the financial review who was able to tell head office to pay it in to by current account.

It does take 5 - 8 weeks to get the money. After 8 weeks I would chase it up with the branch where you had the financial review as that's what I had been told when I called.

    Hi darkcloudi,

Thanks for that - It used to be much more prominently diplayed under financial review within the main savings & investments page on the website but now if you click on financial review there you only get a screen asking you to complete your details for a review so I've got a feeling those people will not be getting the £25. I suppose by making it more obscure they have to pay out less but can still entice some people who wouldn't ordinarily do it to go for a review.

    Regards

    Michelle
