Have to agree, I prefer shopping at Waitrose over all others frankly.
The produce is better, the fresh meat excellent and the customer service top notch, however we all report as we find: i.e. my bank (30 years+) is natwest yet they'll be plenty on here who don't like them.
Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.

You're missing out...they are usually quite nice shops with nice produce (admittedly some of it way overpriced), kept tidy and free of riff raff.

We don't have one here although a small version of one opened up in the next big town 12 miles away...with no parking nearby and a very limited choice!

I'm making it my aim to visit Waitrose, Matalan, B&M and Ikea this year as I never been in them...hmm, that could make me a very sad person, so maybe not! :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Ikea is hell. Any time of day or night.

Waitrose is the only store where I live, but it's too expensive for me so I head to Sainsburys further out instead.

Never had a bad experience in a supermarket, they are always really helpful.

And the meatballs don't taste as sweet as they used to.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

They are not always more expensive and if you go like we do about an hour before they close they have some wonderful bargains.

Got organic bread reduced to 39p yesterday amongst other things. Sometimes they reduce all the bread to 10p.

I think it is also worth having the free mywaitrose card as this gives you free tea/coffee everyday, a free newspaper if you spend over £5 and at the moment 10% of all frozen food and 10% off various items around the store.

I use Ocado which stocks a lot of Waitrose products and tbh if you shop sensibly it's not a great deal more expensive.
The meat and veg are 10 times better than Tesco and I use a lot of waitrose essential products which I feel are probably in league with Tesco finest but still cheaper.

I don't venture to store very often because its a long way from here (Stoke isnt considered affluent enough to warrant a store so the nearest is in Cheshire) but when I have called in I've always been surprised at just how nice and friendly the shoppers are in there.

I had a bad experience once.

I didn't have to wait and I got no stinking roses, not what I expected. :<

Went to Waitrose and had a really bad exerience.

    Felt very belittled and patronised.

Have tried contacting customer services but just got the brush off.

Have decided I wont be returning.

    Faith

THat would make a great story round the fire at Christmas.

That'll be the lack of Red Rum.
