Negative with no previous contact - chances of getting it removed?

Hi, I'm hoping some of the experienced sellers might be able to give me some advice. I sold a beauty bundle with 4 full size and 17 sample sizes, all the sizes of the products eg 4ml were included in the listing when they were provided on the packaging.

My buyer paid quickly after auction ended and I posted the next day (19th Feb). I then heard nothing until the buyer left a neg today (6 weeks later!) stating that 'this looks like samples from magazines'. The 4 full size products were unwanted gifts and the others free samples given out at beauty counters. At any rate, the items are exactly as described. I've raised a case to report the buyer stating my case to eBay but their other feedback all looks fine.

What are my chances of getting these removed? I don't sell masses of stuff but mainly baby items as my daughter grows and until now I have always had 100% feedback so I'm keen to get this removed.

Thanks and sorry for the rant!

I happenes to the best of us. I've even seen a buyer p*ssed off because they speculated from the picture it *might* be an antique, even though nothing in the write up pointed to that, they bid 99p for it, think they've made a killing, then when they receive it, leave negative feedback because they were wrong.

Thanks for the reply, did Ebay remove the neg?

No, eBay will only remove feedback if it's defamatory or slanderous, something like that.

Just respond to the neg saying "Auction clearly stated many were sample size products. Sorry you're not happy" .

The neg isn't the bad bit - have they left you low star ratings?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I don't know, how would I find that out? I can see my overall star ratings and they are all still 5 star.
Thanks for the advice re response, should I do this immediately whilst the case is still open or wait till it's closed?

yes, immediately respond, particularly if you are selling things. Any buyers looking will see the response and realise it was the buyer being a tw*t, and not a dodgy seller, so it shouldn't put them off.

I think there's a way to view your extended seller dashboard which should give you a breakdown of stars. Google it!

Well, I sold something once - a load of handmade jewellery that was quite heavy and I put it on as Special Delivery.
Someone bid - and got an amazing bargain, winning at the starting price of 99p - and then messaged me immediately to ask could I lower the postage.
I said no, postage was evident when she bid.
I decided I did not want to send to or deal with this buyer (was happy to before she started @-rsing around about the postage), so didn't send (I can't remember how I did this, if I requested cancellation from her or whatever).
So.. a while later she left a negative which just said 'postage far too high' or something like that.
    Complete pain of a buyer.
I messaged Ebay and they messaged me back, having completely removed her neg. feedback to me, saying that it was wrongful f/back because postage cost had been clearly stated in the listing.
So I think it can just depend 'who you get' with Ebay.

Sorry I have to comment - but special delivery on a 99p item !

OP, I'm not sure I would want to draw attention to the auction by asking for feedback removal as samples are often treated the same as 'testers' by ebay and therefore not allowed to be sold on ebay.

Sorry Soolin, but ebay do have a category for Bath & Body>>Travel & Sample Sizes - so ebay must allow them. Even ebay couldn't create a category and then say it's not allowed! ;)
