Had a home delivery for 10-11AM today for some bottles of vodka.

10AM rolls by.. 10:30.. 11.. 11:30.. 12:00.. 12:30. I call customer service: "unfortunately it's been cancelled, sorry, bye". Had a party planned for later, going to have to spend £20 on a taxi journey now to buy booze.

Thanks Tesco.

This is a new Tesco service, its called Tesco liver protection.
They check how much alcohol you are buying on a regular basis and for your own safety if you reach a limit, the Tesco Liver Protection comes into force, its a free service.

Please tell me that this is a joke!

April fools has gone already so i am really hoping that we have not got the stage where we have to allow a computer generated system to tell us what we can and can not buy.

No i am not an alcoholic in fact 2 glasses of wine and i am asleep but surely for safety reasons this is not addressing the issue of drinking too much instead it is just moving it around.

So how do they decide if it is too much? Is it based on numbers of people in your house? Is it something else ?

Do you really live a £10 taxi ride from the nearest shop that sells booze? Madness!

An interesting but short thread from the OP here.

Be careful with your replies folks.

Drink water it looks the same. When the ice cubes melt it doesn't change to flavour.
