My father has one (bought from Argos a few months ago on Vodafone for £30 - unlocked using this forum) - decent, light, slim phone with excellent battery life. However please note that apparently some later Nokia 1600s cannot be unlocked using free codes. (Someone on this forum posted that they were unable to unlock a Nokia 1600 locked to T-Mobile bought from Tesco I think?)

Vodafone shops are doing the Nokia 1600 for £20. But if you trade in your old phone with charger you get £10 trade in allowance, so you get good quality phone for £10. Just got one and managed to unlock it with advice from this site.
