Exact opposite in our local market. Mind you, the only townhouses are new builds, so they have that premium.

But it's subjective! I hate new builds so I wouldn't agree with you on that! :p
  • Round here townhouses seem to be anything over 2 storeys. Our house is a 3 storey detatched with front and rear gardens, detatched garage, yet people still refer to it as a townhouse.
BTW I love the 3 storey layout, but mainly because we have enough living spave for us on the lower floors and the top floor is where we can keep the desk, toys, washing, guests etc. out of the way!

    true

it certainly looks better , however upo viewing i saw damages on the property all round and compared to house that are 80-100 yrs old here these are only 10 years old and still had bath tub broken, leakage on floors etc

although i would agree it wud a premium as its a new build however it just appears that new builds use low quality interior materials as long as they look good ?

Townhouse often means more than 2 floors and narrow. In reality it's just a developers way of making a terrace sound posh
  • Our town house is a semi not a terrace.

Town house is in the same league as bungalow.
You can have detached, semi detached and even terrace bungalows, same as townhouses.
In my eyes a bungalow is all on one floor, a town house is 3+, but it’s not set in stone!
