Better ISA rates AFTER 5/4??

I know no-one can say for sure, but do ISA rates traditionally go UP a bit after the start of a new financial year?

Or are they usually marginally better at 'the 11th hour' of the current financial year?
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

For the last few years, the best deals for ISAs have appeared around late February/early March (to catch latecomers), with a small number popping up in early April (to catch early birds) :p

However this year, banks/building societies don't really need savers' money so rates are dismal. There are rumours of some new products being issued in the next week or so, but they will probably be linked to current accounts and be for 'new money only'.

Might be worth holding out until mid April - who knows :)
