Equal Pay for NIO staff

Does anyone have an opinion, in what has happened in the equal pay case, that was dismissed at the High Court in Belfast
I joined the NICS, and was told by letter, that I was seconded to NIO, but my NICS status would be protected.
Then we have all discovered that we were not NICS in the NIO, I never gave up my status of NICS, so what was I went I was working for them.
I am digusted by this judement, as NIO service is not counted in the equal pay claim?

I asked a question, not an English test?

Is it a requirement these days even for teachers.

You do have a bit of history here with NICS matters in the past :o

The only help for you query would be to contact your union, NIPSA seems to represent quite a few in the CS here, even if you are not a member they may be able to shed some light on the situation for you. They are contactable through their website or give them a call. Have you colleagues in a similar situation ?
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

I do belong to the union, and all my colleagues are in the same situation. What is the history I have? If you are referring to the grievance matters, it is well and truly settled, and I don't believe that people would hold that against me, in just asking a question?

IMO it is unfair to expect members on the MSE forum to be able to assist you with a matter that your trade union has been unsuccessful in challenging via the courts.

Even if people have an opinion, what value does it have? It doesn't change the decision of the court. Unless NIPSA decides to appeal and is successful then that is what it is.

Your "history" is that you ask for advice but then don't like the advice you receive and challenge those who are kind enough to take the time to respond. We all want to rant sometimes and if that's what you want to do fine but asking for replies then arguing with them isn't helpful.

The NIO is not part of NICS and never has been. They have their own terms and conditions of service so therefore why should they get equal pay? Simples!

The NIO was staffed by NICS, and we had the same terms and conditions.
But as it seems I am not allowed todisagree with some people on this forum, when I know they are wrong. People can't take criticism.

So thank you everyone who helped me, and I will not ask again. The EOII's/EO1's started up their own forum, and there were certainly disagreements on it, but they respected the fact that people have different opinions.

Quite bluntly, you won't find a lot of support for public service whingeing here.
