but you aren't on benefits, you are a landlord & i think you should consider yourself lucky to be able to own more than one house, there are an awful lot of people that can't afford one, the fact that you are doing a very worthwhile job as a firefighter means you got the watered down response you have
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

Tenants on low income used to be able to APPLY, but not necessarily get help with a heating system. Warmfront seems to be around, but low on cash.

About four years ago, anyone can APPLY for a government £400 Boiler Scrappage if you have a Band G boiler in GOOD WORKING ORDER :rotfl:. It's just like the government idea that will only scrap 10 year+ good cars WITH MOT. This was not one per landlord, so you could have got multiple £400 vouchers. The typical price of a £2,000 boiler upgrade means you give back the £400 in VAT to the Exchequer. Lots of people who applied early got it:), EVEN MORE people were put on a queue that leads nowhere, evolved thick coats of fur, and so don't need central heating anymore.

The current grant scheme is called 'affordable warmth' and the boiler needs to be over 8 years old for replacement, if it's younger they get the energy supplier to arrange repair. I would imagine as the landlord you would be the one who needed to qualify.....be a cracking landlord scam otherwise.

Sorry for the delay in reply. We decided to go with the thought that if it isn't broken we're not fixing it, and leaving it for now. Thank you for all your advice and replies though.
