  • Did rubbish at updated daily as you can see!! A small windfall has knocked £10,000 off my mortgage. Now heading for the £200,000 mark!! Off on a caravan holiday shortly and hoping to keep the spending in check.
I have had a monza account for a few
Months. I love it. Any spending shows up immediately and also you can set up pots, so on payday I have been setting up pots for all known spending for the month ie £20 for mums birthday, £30 uniform etc . Its worked really well for me.

  • Going to try to have a really frugal September. Particularly focusing on food budget. We budget £320. I always meal plan but its those little co-op visits that bodge it.

I am going to try to watch the pennies more closely and get back on the frugal journey.

  • Haven’t posted for ages. Heres an update...
Mortgage down to the £206,000s. Excited that will drop below £200,000 this year!
    Planning a frugal Jan.
    Goals: save holiday spending money
    O/P £150 pcm
Get a month ahead YNAB style (£3000)
Also ensure tesco cc and next are at zero and therefore have no debts.

I love ynab and monza still. I plan my monthly budget in ynab. I then set my cash budget in monza for the month (£200) by making lots of pots ie £20 curry night, £30 daytrip etc. Means I budget realistically.

I am going to try to post daily every day in Jan and do the good old financial fast.

Today will be a no spend day.

Other goals- do 20 mins a day housework, make time for quality family time, do one hour min on garden each weekend.

Happy Christmas to all you mse’ers!!!!
