Council Tax Benefit ?

I have just been on to my local authority because CTB is changing this month & different councils have different rules. Was informed can't have CTB because I have over £8k savings even though am entitled to Guarantee Pension Credit of £106 Per week.

Each Council now have their own scheme as the government abolished Council Tax benefit from 31 March.
Your local Council should have their policy up on their website which will explain the criteria they are using.
