Vodafone Employee Advantage Scheme

Anyone had any experience with this? Ordered an upgrade which is £37/month but this takes it down to an affordable £29.6/month. However, I'm still awaiting the email to validate and am concerned that I will not get this set up until the 7 day cooling off period for new contracts has lapsed. I'm also concerned that they will pull this deal in, say, a year and I'm then screwed for another year at the higher price. Hence why in other threads I'm asking about t mobile as am considering cancelling voda and going with them at a straigh £26/month.
Any thoughts?

I seem to recall that Vodafone guarantee the employee discount for the minimum contract period, regardless of whether Vodafone end the scheme, the employer withdraws or you change employer, so you should be safe. It was either in the t&c's of a FAQ. Best to check and have it in writing. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I would say you are right. From the T&Cs here.We reserve the right to (i) review the Vodafone Employee Advantage Programme, and may adjust the offer based on market conditions, and (ii) withdraw the offer if the company ceases to be a Vodafone customer. This will not affect employees on existing agreements within their initial price plan term.0 -
Hi, I took advantage of this deal a couple months ago. Like you, I was nervous that either I wouldn't be accepted onto the scheme, or something else would go wrong and I would be stuck with a 2 year contract on a higher monthly fee.
I followed the instructions and did get a confirmation e-mail almost immediately which was sent to my work e-mail address which I then had to verify.
A couple of days later, I got the confirmation that I had been accepted onto the scheme.
I did e-mail them a few weeks later as my on-line account didn't have the discount showing, they replied immediately to say that it would once the monthly billing date had passed.
All had been fine since.

Cool. Looks like it's not gonna work for me; submitted it twice yesterday and once this morning, no email at all. Very, very annoying. Awful lying scumbag salesperson assured me that Barclays is appropriate! Oh well, that's a customer lost for voda.0 -

Have you tried going into a Vodafone shop with a recent payslip? Can you not confirm with your own HR department or intranet whether your company is part of the VEA scheme?
Probably worth pursuing these avenues first before you resort to personal insults!0 -
Hi adonis10,
Thanks for making me aware of this.
For clarification Barclays employees do currently qualify for the Vodafone Employee Advantage scheme and so I'm not sure why you encountered difficulties when applying for it.
In the event that you'd like any further assistance could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it will take you to the Contact us form on our website.
To ensure that it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line and once our automated reply arrives update the thread with your email reference number and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

Just thought I'd throw in my tuppence-worth...
I too work for a company that benefits from the Employee Advantage scheme. I've had to cancel my upgrade though as I got an email stating my company isn't enrolled - I suspect I didn't enter the correct name (maybe missed off Ltd or something similar). I certainly didn't want to pay full whack. So I cancelled within the 7 day period.
My price online is still showing the full price even though I've cancelled - hopefully that will change once they get the phone back, then I'll see about getting a different (cheaper) handset.
Not sure what I do regarding my original price plan, I assume I can transfer my number back to the sim in my original phone (it was a different sim type).Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0
