Thank you, I'm amazed by how far I've come since Monday night when I felt emotionally and physically sick with it all, I really believe it's all about positive mental attitude as well. I know it will be very hard but I have two young children and a fantastic DH and if I don't sort this out, I will be letting them down terribly :embarasse

I feel quite stupid I haven't done anything before but better late than never - my only problem is I think instead of a spending addiction, I will be addicted to this site instead :p

Hi, I know I think I have over worked the "what if's", I'm going to look at this properly tonight add up all the cover I have, what for etc and try and reduce the cost. Will obviously keep mortgage and life insurance but need to look at the other cover - that is my detailed task for tonight as well as to cancel the lottery, (completely), gym and avon insurance - getting there :T

Have just had another enlightening moment.

My bank account is with A&L and one of the O/D is interest free for 12 months, the account I am overdrawn with them is the one that isn't interest free so I am moving that over pronto!

I will then do a credit card cheque for the remainder of the overdraft, Next, Littlewoods I intend to pay this month as it is only £30 and then it is gone and then take some credit off the other cards at a higher rate so I will max the MBNA card up on 0% for 12 months. This means I will reduce down to 4 or 5 debts instead of the 8 I originally posted. Mentally I keep ignoring the overdrafts but they are a debt and do need dealing with and paying off, I think I now have the willpower to not go overdrawn as well!

  • welcome Coucou24.gif blackangel, you have certainly had your lightbulb momment and gone on further and further... you have so much determination and if you keep it up you will be debt free in no time... this post that you made before really stood out for me ~ i am very impressed
I'm back off to the whatsthecost website now. Realistically in Sept 07 our fixed rate mortgage finishes so I will remortgage and combine the current mortgage and 2nd charge which will be cheaper. I will not however include my other debts in that remortgage, as I feel the only way I can learn from my spending issues is to deal with them properly and that means pay them back.

To me thats a full and brighter than bright lightbulb lightbulb.gif. You should be very every proud of yourself... you are doing fine and you will soon be posting on the debt free roll of honnor :T well done expressions6.gif

ps excuse all my smilieys ~ i just love them
