Minimum wage could be cut

So what? Between 2007 and 2011 my salary remained static. My husband's salary didn't change over the same period. (Both well above minimum wage). Each year we effectively took a pay cut.
Our savings are slowly being eroded by inflation, and we get no benefits to top anything up (unlike those on NMW).Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

You don't need them topped up, you are obviously earning enough. Min wage jobs are topped up as wages are so low, the government are effectively subsidizing employers, Drop the min wage, they will have to pay out even more in tax credits etc, the obvious answer would be to go the other way and raise the min wage thus cutting the amount paid out in tax credit. If an employer can't afford to pay a wage without government help they should not be in business.0 -
What do you make of this Just when you think things can't get any worse, of course it might not happen but nothing would surprise me with this government. We’ve had to remove your signature. Loads...working tax credits. Housing benefit. A partner who stays at home would also get the household more in tax credits. Children would also get the household more in child tax credits. We’ve had to remove your signature.
