The best oven cleaner I have ever used is Oven Pride, they are selling this at the moment in the pound shop. If this doesn't work then nothing will.0

Thats what i used, and then a week later i used Oven Mate from Lakeland. Neither shifted this mark. We could have used a scraper but that could have caused more damage.0 -
Well, they've refered it to the landlord, so i guess we'll hear soon. I have a picture on the mark, but can't upload it here for some reason!?0

It almost sounds like a structural element of the bottom plate rather than dirt, or even plastic. Should they try to ask for some money for it, ask for a photo of the damage, and post it here. You could also request a photo of the oven before you moved in, to show the mark was new. They probably won't have one.
Oven liners (base plates, side plates, etc.) are available as spares on ebay, amongst others, so you should not have to replace the oven, and certainly not with a new one.
Wait. Nothing may come of this, aside from a few sleepless nights.0 -

You can't upload pictures. You'll have to upload it to Tinypic (or similar) then post the link."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Can't access ANY image hosting websites, the works firewall is blocking them all...0

If you right click on the broken link and open in a new tab you can see it.
