Humph! tried being all OS but the kids weren't impressed
Did chicken strips in egg & breadcrumbs and cooked them - I thought they were quite nice but the kids did not like them - DS refused everything on his plate grrrr.
I didn't go to the pub so having a nice quiet time with the kids - we've done some painting and managed to have a NSD although not the same for OH.
Think the kids are tired actually so will go up and give them a bath in about an hour. Should use up some of the witching hour!

Hi Sea, have you tried making chicken nuggets or fish fingers with crushed up weetabix or cornflakes instead of breadcrumbs? My two much prefer them like that, and they like crushing up the cereal with a mortar and pestle so they can get involved too.
I hope you are feeling a little better now and that you have a good evening xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi sea
Hope you have a nice relaxing evening,
It gets a bit disheartening when you go to the effort of cooking something nice and they won't eat it, I keep trying and my youngest is getting better and will try some new things now, hypno's suggestion of cornflakes sounds good, thanks.0 -
I'll try that next time - might be sweeter which is what the normal ones are like! DD said they were too chickeny!!!CCCS DMP:Feb 07

Hi all, another tip in case it's any use: my lot won't eat any form of coated chicken nugget, but they like small pieces of chicken marinated in soy sauce and then stir-fried! Very salty I know but you can't have everything!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Not at all! I am beginning to get a little annoyed however, as the kids are bathed, read to and in bed now (hopefully to stay) and he is nowhere to be seen. Apart from the hour he took the kids to his mum's (when I doubt he was with them he was steam cleaning the car as it smells rank) he hasn't seen them at all this weekend really. Am I that awful to live with???lol
Will discuss it when he gets back - at least he's got the car so won't be drinking.
