Could your mystery £50 chq be from the GFK tv thing? I think they send out anything over £10 as a cheque?

Hi Sea, very sad about BIL and ex-fg - and how lovely of you to go and spend time with her. Company and a chance to talk will be the best things for her, so don't worry if you can't think of 101 useful things to do. If she's not ready to take in ideas about ebaying etc there's no rush, she can learn in her own time. I hope it's not too draining for you.

Lovely of you to go and help at the weekend, but as Seaxwyn says, it will be draining for you - so make sure you look after yourself. You have also been through a lot recently xx

Lenny - your sig is forever changing to more and more romantic verses. Now, are you noting these down and leaving them as little notes for your wife? :) That would be so sweet :)

  • Hi Sea
You really are a good friend! If she has children she'll need to sort out benefits etc, is your bil happy to support them financially or is the split accrimonious? Any chance they will get back together? Is this the couple you went on holiday with last year? Its so sad when relationships breakdown but I'm sure your support will help! As the others have said make sure you take care of you too!!!

    Hi

It is that couple. I really can't see them getting back together unfortunately. In situations like this I'm better if I have a little plan of suggestions and stuff in my head - even if I don't even communicate it all!! My way of dealing with it I suppose.

Thank you for all the kind comments about being a good friend, but I don't really think that it's extra special - surely this is what we are here for and hopefully I'll help things become a little easier.

The split is NOT good at all. He's walked out, although things haven't been good for a while,, but it's still a surprise. He won't really talk about it so she doesn't know his plans really. He told her to get benefits sorted which indicates he's now going to give her money for long, although he's covering the bills etc still.

Oooh, do Grobags sell well? I have one that Natasha is just about to grow out of....although it's a Disney one, not an actual Grobag brand one.
They do go pretty well Snags, even the 'plainer' one like Mothercare ones go well, esp if they'e in good condition.... Ur disn'ey one should go well.... the Grobag ones normally go for about £15 +
