Remember that with the Fuji 345/350/360, you are comparing a camera that originally cost up to £100 more than the Vivitar's original price, which is now around the same price as a Vivitar.
The question should be one of whether the Fuji is too sophisticated for a child. Not as to whether the Vivitar is a rival.0 -

Indeed, the oversized picture that I posted of the Medion camera skewed the whole thread, so I removed it.

Six year olds aren't slow. She'll probably master the camera before you will.
Don't ignore the other possibility, the A350 for the sake of four pounds.
