three phones 3g 2g
hi,
i have a three contract which i'm stuck with for the year
i also have a couple of PAYG sim cards from O2 and T mobile which i use
Is there a phone which will accept all these cards?
or am i stuck with 2 phones, one for three and another unlocked 2g phone for o2 and tmob?
if i am stuck with 2 phones then can anyone recommend a cheap 3g phone as i dont use any of the extra stuff just the free mins and texts?
thanks
ben

3 do not allow the use of their sim cards in any thing other than a 3G phone, because that is the only system they operate.
You can use you 3 sim in any 3G phone (unlocked), it doesn't have to be a 3 phone.
The ubiquitous C975 is cheap as chips and can be had for next to nowt on ebay.

thanks for the info,
any ideas whether the nok 6233 would work on all networks? ive seen it available on various networks including three.0 -
The 6233 is a 3g phone so it is ideal, can I just ask which 3 handset you have at the moment? Your best bet would be to unlock that handset so it accepts your other sims aswellSLC: £13000+

well i did have a sony k610i which was nice but the microphone went wrong and people couldnt hear me so i sold it. i now have a handmedown from a friend which is a nok 6680 and its a bit bulky0
-
im thinking either get the k610i again for three and use my nok 6230i for the other sim's or get a 6233 and use for all?0

Whichever handset you get make sure its open to all networks, something like the k800i would also be suitable.
Not sure if you knw but the 6680 can now be unlocked for free (see the sticky at the top of the subforum)SLC: £13000+
