    :cry::cry::cry: I haven't ironed a thing since I got that dryer!

    Really? Our tumble drier doesn't iron our clothes. Cracking at drying but it looks all sheepish when I present the iron in front of it.

    UPDATE

    I have an ending for this thread....

    I sent Argos a diagnosis from my local washer repair man stating it was a manufacturing fault, used the template off this site for an accompanying letter and received a written reply off Argos yesterday, within 7 days of them receiving my letter.
    I sent it normal post, not recorded.

    They offered a replacement dryer up to the full price of my dryer which was £229.99, even though I bought it on promotion at £204.41. They know the price I paid as I used an Argos card.

    Or they offered a cash refund of £189.

    I am happy with their response and owe it to the information I gained off this forum.
    I would have just thrown the dryer away if I had not researched my rights on here first :)

    My response..I chose a new Hotpoint dryer for £239.99 and the £10 upgrade fee was waived too. :D

    Glad you got a satisfactory (very!) result and thanks for updating to let us know.
    You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
