Seriously, though, on how many of those issues you have listed does United beat BA? On safety alone I'd always fly a non-US carrier (apart from Air France) as they are less likely to be blown up.
without knowing the route/destination, its impossible to offer an objective opinion. BA may indeed trump them on every category, but without knowing the nitty grity, who's to say ?
But to suggest one carrier above another purely on free booze is pathetic.0 -

It was mainly meant as a joke (hence the wink) though just because it's a non-issue to you doesn't mean it is for everyone.0 -

I missed the wink, sorry.
It obviously is an issue to some people, as it pops up from time to time.
Likewise subjects such as 'can I buy proper food abroard', 'what is the cheapest way to get to X' and 'I've got a budget of 24p. can I have a years all inclusive holiday in a 5 star resort in (insert place of choice) for me and six of my mates'0 -
Personally I will never fly with BA again, I have flown with them 3 times and each time I was treated like I was a second class citizen by both the ground staff at check-in and by the cabin crew.
I know I was in the economy cabin but it seemed to me like the staff just didn't care about anything that went on my side of the curtain and it was an effort for them to have to actually be in that part of the aircraft.
My flights this year are with United for the first time so I will get a chance to see what they are like.0 -
I've booked my flights with BA, mostly because of flight times. I can fly back from NY and arrive the same day instead of an overnight flight.0

Who is more likely to honour the flight
Summer is fast approaching, there is bound to be someone who is itching for a reason to strike at BA.0 -

Snap.
My preference would have been to fly with BA, for the AAdvantage points.
But the (much) lower cost, more convienient flight times & better connections won it for United.0 -
Good luck, United flyers! Never, ever again. They'd have to pay me. And even then I'd be giving it serious thought........[0
