Booked a holiday on 3rd July 2005 with first choice, and we was delayed 20 hours and was put up in a hotel overnight to fly the next day, we were told there was no plane for us as it had crashed on landing in manchester and damaged its tail - The thing is I know it is out of the 6 year deadline but we did complain within 28 days of getting back home and was given £30 each per person, Can we still claim for this why a complaint has been logged before - any advice appreciated
Thank You

you need to start court proceedings within the 6 years, not raise a complaint0

You can complain all you like - you just can't go to court.0

I know you have to take to court within 6 years, but ive seen a post on here that if a complaint was made to the airline within 28 days of arrival home you still take to courtJuly 08 GMTV Mazda MX5 :T& Belinni Basket Hamper, Mamma Mia Beach Bag, August 08 Rizzla Wallet, £25 Real People Mag x 2, Philadelphia Hammock, September 08 Schwarzkopf Gift Set, £45 Durex Lucky Bag, October 08 Bennets Superbike Championships Tickets JUNE 2011 2 x f shoot skill kits, 2 x cushelle teddies , crysis tshirt, JLS cd, JULY 2011 JLS Book0

I'm afraid not. One more time: you have six years to start court action. It doesn't matter how long you've been in discussion with the airline for: the six year timetable is a fixed point of law. Sorry. (But it was a long time ago!)0
