Do you have an android device and a yahoo email account? then if so, are you one of the many who have googled requesting how to log-out of your email account.
It seems there are hundreds are users out there not happy because leaving an email account open is not what we're taught to do.
I note that some have even changed devices to dump android.
Some have closed yahoo accounts.
So, if you have stumbled on a way to log-out of yahoo mail via your android tablet/phone, then please earn yourself some praise and thanks by sharing with us.

the email app on my tablet.0 -
well, it's the same for every email account then, not just yahoo, the whole point in it is to check for messages/login without the user having to input passwords everytime - my suggestion is to remove your account from the app if you don't want it to check for new messages and just use the browser to access the account where you can log in and out easily
it's just the same as having an email client on your desktop computer, like outlook or similar0 -

Actually, as simple as it sounds, that's not a bad idea. So all those who have elected to close their accounts in favour of something else, could just as easily taken a few moments to google yahoomail and log-in/out that way. So you're not such an r-sole after all are you.0 -
Or you just remove the account from the app so when you open it again you need your asked to login.0

After drifting off, I remembered that prior to installing the yahoo app, I was googling yahoomail, entering my email address and password and it constantly informed me they were incorrect. So in a way, I'd be back to square one wouldn't I?0

im guessing the majority(like myself) want to remain logged in on our phones/tablets
you and other users can simply log in via the website if you wish to log out later0 -

Yes it is and I'm not disputing that, its a suggestion that has been suggested on other forums.0 -
Unless a solution is found, it would seem ideal (in my case) to remove yahoo from the tablet and continue accessing the account via the laptop.0
