Apparently Bruges is lovely. I've not done much of Europe myself (next on the list) but I have friends who've been there and say its lush. Plus- Belgium= the most delicious of all chocolate
bruges is brill emmap, we've been most of europe years ago but imagine it's changed a bit now  but basically the tourism places are the same & agree about the chocplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Wingo I review most of my breaks for Trip Advisor. I always look on there before booking anywhere so I feel I should do my bit back. Think they said I was in the top 3% of peeps reviewing the most.
Sorry paadzer, being 30 miles from a railway means we never use them as even when you get there you have to change again to get anywhere apart from Glasgow and Carlisle. We always fly when we go abroad apart from when we went to Denmark on the Ferry with the car to go to Legoland.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

I've just sat for over an hour doing dailies! maybe give them a miss tomorrow!
Just as I suspected, hubby couldn't record DD's performance!I'm hoping the dance teacher has put it on fb.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

Thanks - can't do the dailies - never enough time...
Anyhoo... a story from my day that still has me chuckling...
Two weeks ago I had to go to the dentists with my wife and boys - met them there after work and they were nearly done - really glad as I could wish them well and a safe drive home, congratulate the boys on their bravery and go into see the [STRIKE]torturer [/STRIKE]dentist on my own without the added fear of having to be brave when I came out...
Wouldn't have mattered anyway as he said he couldn't do anything then as my bleeding gums were down to a combination of the electronic cigarettes I am using to give up smoking and the mouthwash I have been using to counteract the bleeding gums...aaarrrggghhhh.
He wanted to de-scale them so arranged a follow up appointment for last Thursday...they rang the next day, said they couldn't do it then and re-scheduled for tomorrow.
However today I realised I couldn't do tomorrow as something has come up at work so I rang them to change the appointment...
Me - I've got an appointment for tomorrow but need to change it as I've got to go in to work.
Receptionist - no problem - can you do Thursday instead?
Me - (checks diary) - yep no problem - what time?
Receptionist - Two-thirty.
Me - yes - but what time do you want me to come in?
Receptionist - uncontrolled laughter!! :rotfl:
A very old joke but one I never dreamt I would get to use in reality.....
Funny how the little things can make your day...:):smileyhea Thank you to all that post comps - may the Comping Fairy return your time and generosity doubled!:smileyheaLaughing at our own mistakes can lengthen our own life. I've been to Ostend, Ghent, Brussels, Bruges, Leuven, Knokke in Belgium.
Brussels is a good place to base yourself (accessible to Eurostar) and plan day trips.
There are many connections from Eurostar to other destinations so worth investigating though will take longer than flying.
