Funny timing, DM article when pet cat is at home with the mouse!

Tried some mag dailies on the ipad, which I found short-circuits the silly video ads!!

Morning all  sorry I didn't get back in yesterday, had an early night with another dreaded migraine! :o I had to do a big dinner yesterday as I needed to use up all the fresh veg so cooking the dinner in the hot weather brought it on!
Anyway, job went ok as expected. Kids were lovely and a gorgeous little girl with down syndrome really took to me and wanted me all the time! :D

Oddies, well done on the great BBQ win yesterday :T Great win! I got your PM this morning Thankyou :A

ILC, congrats on getting your extra cereals :j I wonder if I get the other box? :)

Good luck tackling the ironing Sheils! I'm glad you've still got the sun :) A bit drizzly here today but I think it's going to get out nice again.
(I blame walwin for washing her windows!) :D

Sylvia was everything ok at the dentist? My DH doesn't go for years and never has any problems. I go regularly and there's always something wrong! :o

Fire**fly, Sylvia....I'm so jealous of how clever you are with growing herbs and gardening! :o I would love to be able to do stuff like that but we get so many cats coming in garden and with jasper, there's no point!
Fire**fly...Do you remember the andrex (I think) comp for the tree to plant? Did you get one of those? I got one, and lots of others apparently that came as a twig all bent and no good to plant! :D

Katie, like the coke pic! :T It took me a while to click on! :o

Good luck with the house viewing LadyM :)

Have a lovely, lucky day everyone xx

Good morning. The weather is dull here but no rain as yet. I am taking GD to The Life Centre in Newcastle today which I am sure she will enjoy. Its going to be an expensive day I am sure as its about £17 for the two of us to get in and then there is bus/train fare. Have been before with other GK's so should be well worth it.

Sheils - good luck with than ironing. I am sure you will find a cheap offer for the sun cream somewhere know how you like a bargain.

iluvcats - I see you still have a little friend running around your house. Hope you get it sorted soon.

wingo - so glad the job went well for you yesterday I am sure you will enjoy it and it will be very rewarding.

firefly - looked at the comp, I was quite new to comping then so didn't do that one. Would love to hear more about the herbs when you get a spare moment, if that isn't a joke. Would be good also to know if I grow them outside in pots or on the windowsill indoors. DD2 grows pansies for her tortoise as they are edible for them and they love them

Must get off and get ready to go now.

Will catch up when i get back.

s'easy sylv, you just boil it up in water, leave to cool,
strain & bottle it up, my grandma taught me years ago & I've always used it,
her kitchen used to be full of herbs all drying ready for bottling/jarring up etc not just for cooking but for lots of other uses, nowadays they've found more uses for them as well,
can always send you pm if you any info, save boring anyone else who's not into it as such :D

Thanks for that FF, must try. I have one of James Wong's books, Grow Your Own Drugs which has lots of similar stuff. Made anti mosquito oil with veg oil, cloves and lemongrass which is quite effective, even works on the infamous Scottish Midgie sometimes

a while back & once i'd read it & took all the notes out I wanted I donated it to the complex's raffle stuff, the manageress nearly choked on her coffee at the time when I gave it her :rotfl::eek::rotfl:
until I explained it was about medicinal plants/herbs :D:rotfl::rotfl:

Just read back and see you have read the same book :o I got much the same reaction when I told my kids the name of the book :rotfl:
