Nothing from postie, just a hospital app for DD. I was saying to hubby how much we need a new mattress and then a bed van pulled up but went to next doors! I really thought for a moment that I had won a bed or mattress!

Wet, wet and wet here!! Rained all night and rained all today and still pouring down!!! :eek:

Cat sulking big time!!! No fun, no sun, - so off she goes hiding in the tiniest corner in one of the bedrooms, curled up with fluffy disney piglet character, :rotfl::rotfl: And yes, we are the Florida/disney big time family!!

Can someone help me? I keep getting cold callers, had 4 in the last 5 days. :eek: Now, I hate not answering the door if it's light but I find sometimes their attitude is not so pleasant when you decline. Not always, but sometimes .........

I know they are trying to work and I understand that totally, but I really cannot be doing with buying whatever they are selling on the doorstep, can't afford it and I don't need it! but I find these callers quite intimidating and sometimes quite pushy and have had quite a rude response from some (upsetting ) and I feel uncomfortable because I am on my own.

Is there a legit site that I can print off a very polite notice to say 'no cold callers'? That I can put on my porch glass?

Alfie, my parents got a sticker to put on their door to keep away salespeople. I think they got it from age concern. I know they are annoying and persistent. We often get reg charity callers which I don't mind giving to but when you don't have the money at hand and you try to explain that you already give to charity, they do make you feel bad.

Thank you :A I will look into age concern. One of them actually, when I said sorry, called me a f** !!!!! and legged it - so upsetting. But we all have our problems and you know, I do me best for my favourite charities, close to me heart, but I found that gutting!!!! Want to put a stop to it!!! xxxxxxx

Just been reading back. Have got loads of food now thank you Sylvia.
Bought so much I'm not sure what to have!
Don't want any more males in the family thank you wingo.

Alfie my advice is just be rude and close the door - I'm afraid that is what I do now. Have you got a chain on it so that you don't need to open it properly? DH says I put on my Rottweiller face when I answer the door to them.
