Good on yer Sheils booking your June break

I managed to get the bee out safely with the spider catcher. Jasper was scared of it so I think he must have been stung by one!
DD was terrified going to bed as when we moved in here, the girls bedroom must have had a bees nest nearby as there was loads of dead bees on the floor. She thought they had come back again!

MY son was telling me earlier that a boy in his class had brought a bb gun into school to get revenge on another boy he was fighting with! A teacher just took it off him and he got a red card for it! :eek: surely he should have been sent home for it! Where's he got it from in the first place! This could have been a real weapon and even the bb guns are dangerous! I know this child had some behavioural problems but I think they've handled it all wrong. If this child is having evil thoughts like that at age 10/11 imagine what he's gonna be like when he's older!

Glad you got the bee out wingo! They must be really soft at your son's school. One of DD's classmates reported a boy of threatening her with a plastic knife and he was nearly expelled! The girl is a snobby little so and so with a politically correct single social worker mother. He finished up being excluded for a few days.
Have actually booked a BOGOF deal to an Express Hotel in Hoylake (near Liverpool) for £59 in September and that includes breakfast. DH enjoys showing me his home area so couldn't resist. Not going to book anything else now as we are hoping DD will come with us to Blackpool in the Summer hols for a couple of nights. Wish petrol wasn't so expensive though, it is costing more than the hotels.
Off to bed now. See you all tomorrow. x

Hoping to venture to Blackpool this year too as youngest doesn't remember it! It's quite cheap to go on bus from here if hubby doesn't want to come with me & kids!

Sun shining already here today so hope it lasts. DS2s birthday today so 1 down and 2 coming soon. Wish the other 2 would pick stuff soon. Taking DD to Ayr tomorrow to pick clothes I think.

Not been in for a while but wanted to pop in today as I'm going away on Sunday so doubt if I'll get in again. It's really lovely and bright here but cold. Still, at least it's dry
