Morning all from sunny Crete 23 °C today and I promise I won't go on about the weather while I am here

Been busy stocking up the cupboards and fridge and general tidying up of the apartment.

Have caught up on a few comps but not IWIWIW or the Inn.

I've downloaded the 'Bob The Street Cat' Audio book from Amazon. Just started listening to chapter three.
Fantastic story, lovely hearing about them both.

Really jealous elle - always wanted to go to Crete. DS1 has been and quite a few friends too. Some of our friends did a lot of walking there. Have been to Corfu but we went at the end of the season and it felt like it was closing down and it wasn't very clean where we were.
We have two lots of neighbours with other homes, one has a house in France and the other a small town house in London which we have been offered the loan of. Lots have caravans and caravanettes too, think we are the only ones who just book hotels.

Firefly - got to be my all time favourite, I love crumpets. Hope Best doesn't go to 25 its a struggle as it is.

Elleme - 23 deg sounds good to me. Love Greece but never been to Crete. Will maybe try it on day. Hope you settle in soon and do have a lovely time.

Morning,we had fog here this morning and it was a bit dodgy driving to work but the sun is out now and it's warming up nicely. I have finished work for the day and have my car in for an MOT at 12. Dreading it now there is more tests to pass.Hopefully it will be ok as I need it for work.Hope you all have a lucky day

Ellemm, that sounds like heaven where you are! We went to Crete a few yrs ago from a win and it was lovely

Them pics of crumpets aways look delicious fire**fly! Whenever I buy them they usually end up going to waste.

When is your next break Sheils? Your DH sounds adventurous when going away! My hubby hates walking anywhere, even when we go to Whitby he refuses to go up the steps to the Abbey but the kids love it up there! We do all the walking while he goes in the car!

Raining here too Sylvia but at least it's not too cold.
Not another daily? (groan) I can't cope!

Next booked break is to Dundee wingo. Had a little money left on Ticketmaster last year and booked a Queen Tribute Band Concert with it for Dundee. Have never been there before but there are some award winning attractions to see. (Tesco Tokens). We have booked a Premier Inn at nearby village which cost £60 for 2 nights and just discovered the hotel next door takes Tesco Tokens for its meals too! We do a lot of walking on breaks as we refuse to pay for parking unless it is absolutely necessary.

Good Luck with the car indie. Will never forget what happened to our old Space Wagon when it went for its MOT.

Don't like crumpets FF but DH loves them.

Afternoon all. I've not had anything in the post today or any WEMs but I've some lager chilling in the fridge, it's a lovely 20 degrees out and I've got some pop punk playing loudly (not too loudly, don't want to annoy the neighbours) in the house

Elle Crete sounds wonderful. Enjoy every moment of it.
