no, but they won't cover you for pre-existing faults that were there before you took out the coverI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
I presume the insurance company would do that for you, to cover their losses, unless you live in a Landlord property, where the landlord does it for you.0

I'd read the policy carefully - the ones I've looked at only carry out the service at a time of year that suits them (typically in the summer).
I the boiler is due a service now, then if you just go with the policy, it may not get serviced for may months. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
I had to have a boiler service before my insurance it wasn't that expensive with gascookerinstallers but i ended up having a really bad relationship with my insurance providers, they used to always pass of the problems and made me fork out £400 for a powerflush which didnt make a difference to the boiler! They claimed that the sludge build up was the key to my problems which is just a way of palming it off to another company, then after, they still didn't solve my issues.
Ended up losing a fortune, but the boiler service is good for picking up any faults before they charge into your home, as much your benefit as theirs!0
