I am looking for a a fairly high spec of around this sort of budget, or less if possible! Which I can play games on, what high def movies, burn blu ray disks.

What do you think??

The one you choose is with £859 orginal price.
£779 with GTX 660 is better.

GTX660 is faster than 7770. And 8 GB RAM is enough for application nowadays, 16 GB is not necessarily needed

    Thanks for your reply.

With a discount code I have the package will be 710 for the specs above.

The bit I didn't include was the Blu Ray r/w that's what interests me also in the above spec.

i7 is overkill for most people, go for the i5 3570k and get a better graphics card, the main think the i7 has over the i5 is hyperthreading, which basically gives you more 'cores' which most people will not make the use of especially in games which tend to only use 1 or 2 cores still

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Is that a Dell Blu Ray r/w? A "combo drive" doesn't always mean Blu Ray r/w. (sorry - I didn't have the patience to wait for Dell's page to load).

I'm sure you know about the XPS discount codes

Would you recommend the gtx 660 card over the Radeon then?

Sorry I cannot provide any alternatives but most people wouldn't buy a "bog standard dell" to play games. Alienware might be a possibility.

Note:- I cannot find an XPS 8500 with a GTX660 AND Blu ray r/w. The latter only seems to come with 7770.
