Virgin Media very unreliable broadband - cancel without cancellation charges?

all of these companies are out for one thing
Like most businesses. They have to maximise profits for shareholders.if vigin can cancel and even offer goodwill gestures to people after months of poor service, then surely they can sort this out when its them who can't provide a service, yet 50 yards away they can.
But your friend chose to move. Virgin didn't make her move and weren't providing poor service at the address they agreed to provide the service to.
As I said, they are not expanding their network for the foreseeable future, so if your friend can't get it now, there's not much you can do about it.
She will need to pay what she owes to get the debt collectors off her back, and I imagine her credit rating has already taken a hit for the default.0
