Hi,
Hope someone can advise, and hope that i'm doing this right as I'm new to the Forum and not really all that technical.
I saw Martins programme on Thursday the 28th March 2013 regarding flight delays, so thought ok lets do this.
Have done a little research to see what I need before writing any letters,.
Basically I went to Egypt in 2011 and on the day of return we had a rather long delay. Our flight was due to leave Hurghada on the 8th March at 17.30. However due to engine failure (they had to fly two engine experts from Sharn El Shiek) we were delayed until after 6pm on the 9th March. We then were flown to Gatwick first and then onto East Midlands arring earley hours of the Thursday morning, the 10th March 2011. So the flight itself was delayed in excess of 24 hours. I do not have any tickets or boarding passes to prove any of this only a copy from the travel agent I booked the holiday through of the flight times and cost. Does anyone know whether or not the people I have to write to will accept what I have. Thanx to anyone that offers help

have a look at the FAQs and then post on the thread relating to the airline concerned0

I've looked on the FAQ's as you suggested but can't see the airline listed (maybe no one has put a claim in with them (lol) I travelled with Thomas Cook airlines. Other threads are stating I will need boarding passes etc as proof but I haven't kept any of this being as the holiday was taken two years ago.0

Three threads below this one is the specific Thomas Cook thread!!0
