  • And to illustrate what you're asking about your final bill:

If you put your 30 days notice in today, your end of contract date would be 30/4/13.

Again assuming your bill cycle was the 15th, you would get a bill produced on that date anyway (because your line is still active and the billing system doesn't know you're going to disconnect - you could change your mind).

That bill would be 'normal' looking something like this:

    Bill date 15/4/13

    Line Rental 15/4/13 - 14/5/13 £xx.xx

Again, assuming you do actually disconnect on 30/4/13 you would receive a final 'bill' on 15th may looking something like this:

    Bill date 15/5/13

    Line Rental Refund 30/4/13 - 14/5/13 -£xx.xx

They would give you back what you have already been charged so you only ever have to pay line rental until the day you actually disconnect!

    HTH!

Pretty often they will give you it only if you ask: Reclaim phone credit

Actually all my final bills go to the end date rather than the bill date and I haven't had to reclaim anything for years (Vodafone, T-Mobile and Orange) - except for small early termination charges which sometimes pop up and shouldn't be made.

When terminating, it is always best to forget your sign-up date and instead opt for your BILLING date. This means there are no messy part months to pay for then chase a credit (if your network believes n keeping it).

By cancelling and giving notice 31 days before the final bill often prevents not only a part month bill, but any forward charges. There still will be a bill, if there are any out-of-bundle charges to be paid.

Well, I have received automatic refunds for 2 Orange accounts recently.

    E.g.:
    start/end date - 15,
    billing date -20.

Are you saying that if you get PAC on the 15th, the bill produced on the 20th will cover only the nex 25 days?
