Thank you for starting us off Kiplingmonkey

Welcome back Scrappie  good to see you, I'm glad to hear things are settling down for you and you're looking forward to a less stressful job, it can make such a difference.

Off to catch up now before I tot up my totals for March and the year to date as I'd pledged no IN for the first three months of the year which was a fail but not an EPIC one :rotfl: I totally underestimated how difficult that would actually be and truth be told when things ran out I just wasn't willing to go without :o

Had a look round boots, superdrug and home bargains today but managed to come away empty handed! Writing up my stash list has really shocked me and I've realised it's going to take me years to use all that up! Especiallly the make up! I'm going to have to wear a full face of it everyday lol!

One good thing is that I've rediscovered lots of things I havn't used in a while and I'm now going to try and use a different eyeshadow and lip product everyday day now, maybe for a month to start off with. Might post my progress on here :) If anyone with lots of make up would like to join me that would be fun! :D

I've been thinking something similar; I think I'm going to have to invest in some lipcote (do they still sell that?) in order to get through all my lipsticks, as I am rubbish at reapplying.

I've also been making an effort to rotate my makeup and to try new combinations, so today at work my eye makeup was quite different to the usual. Instead of two shadows and heavy liner I used No7 stay perfect eyeshadow in innocence on the brow bone and mink over the lid, then used a bodyshop neutral brown shimmer on the outer half of my eye and followed up with what I believe is bodyshop eyeshadow in paprika (a golden brown highly shimmery shadow) in the crease, extended out a little and wet on a small eyedefiner brush on top and bottom lashes. I then used a very light touch of Bobbi Brown gel eyeiner in sepia along my top lashes. Topped with black mascara it was a light and fresh nude eye that lasted all day :o

No INs or UU yet, but am off to have a nice relaxing bath in a bit so hopefully there will be one or two from that.

And - my Mum takes Evening Primrose for her hair and has said it really helps with stopping it thinning and losing too much of it.
Thanks, most helpful. I will get back to taking that, I already take fish oils and Wilko's skin / hair supplement. It won't be any hassle to add a couple more capsules. I used to take it a few years ago but stopped when I clearly wasn't menopausal any more.

My Avon arrived finally - will list later. Due to go out and want to tell you something else.
I had an embarrassing experience, I fell whilst trying to rush to the door to the Avon lass (my stick slipped on something, not sure what.) The lass opened the door on hearing me fall, (brief squawk, clatter of stick and heavy thud). She offered help, praise be and with her holding my trike steady for me, I grabbed that and my sturdiest bookshelf and got to my feet.
Her little bro. was with her and I was so worried that I'd frightened him, I had to apologise. Bless him.

I then found out why she was late. She'd fallen off her horse ON TO CONCRETE (he shied) and had been very sore, understandably. She's forgiven.
I am going to start listing my falls again in a diary, as I used to. It's going to be extremely difficult to claim personal independence payment when it replaces disability living allowance for me in a couple of years. Anything that can boost my evidence is a Good Thing, even if 'gaining' the evidence is Not Good.

Small UU- 60 ml BS Moringa Shower Gel that my friend who was deluged with toiletries gave me.

WIB? Hmmm... probably not. Nothing wrong with it, but it's a sweet, floral fragrance that isn't really me. I can see why those who love it do though, it is a 'pretty' smell. Great with the lather, despite being soap-free.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Your eye make sound gorgeous! I'm normally pretty boring with my eye make up, it's usually a lid colour, a darker crease colour and maybe a highlight in the inner corner and on the brow bone. Then I add mascara. I think I might try and get more use out of my cream shadows and pigments too. I love No7's Mink eyeshadow! Such and pretty and unique colour!

Got a couple of UU's just from tonight's shower :D

Superdrug Shea Butter and Coconut Scrub - SO glad to see the end of this! It was !!!! in my opinion, didn't really do much in the way of scrubbing, only good thing about it was the smell. WNBA

Dove Intense Moisture Conditioner - Really liked this, made my hair nice and soft, didn't last very long though, only got about 4/5 uses out of it. WBA but only when on offer.

S&G Girligo Moisture Mist - Moisturising whilst being light and quickly absorbed. WBA but already have another in the stash.

Or a 'jump out of the bath in pain after only ten minutes, feeling like needles are being jabbed in to you all over' bath. Apparently I'm allergic to Body Shop's Spa Wisdom argan and orange blossom bath and shower oil...

1 UU of Queen of shaves coconut shave gel 250ml.

Anyone have any idea how to make the bright red go down? I've stood under the shower with just water but omg burning agony here.

ETA It's beginning to go down after 20 minutes but oh my god that was painful!!

And - hope you are OK.

Roguey - aloe vera gel if you have some or aftersun maybe. I used to use a combination of juniper and geranium oils in the bath which had a similar stabbing effect, I used it as a circulation booster for cellulite.

I have lots of eyeshadows to use but they last sooooo long and even though I wear it everyday I am not making much of an impact.

    Have a TA

Too Faced Shadow Insurance - this was an ebay purchase some time ago and after having a sample sachet of it I believe this one is a fake so I have binned it as it creases on its own without eyeshadow. I have replaced it with MUA eye primer.

Sorry to hear about your fall And, hope you're not too bruised and sore :grouphug:

My March totals were 32 UU/GA/TA and 10 IN - pretty pleased with that, although my IN have crept up this month as I think I got sick of trying to go cold turkey!

Overall from the beginning of the year I've had 75 out and 14 IN - so thats pretty :j - out of the IN, there were only 3 that weren't either replacements or necessary (all hair oils as it happens, the L'Oreal I loathed and the Percy & Reed that I love) so actually big pat on the back for me I think :p

Having to splurge on a new boiler when the heating packed up completely earlier in the year made the money saving element of the challenge come to the fore - its been quite good fun though repurposing products and trying things I probably would have just left gathering dust :o Really keen to push on and hopefully graduate this year but I will still be sticking around even if I do :D

As a footnote, I'm loving the Benefit Boi-ing concealer I got to combat dark shadows under my eyes - its fab!
