cashback help
Options
As a frequent visitor to your site, I am wondering whether you could offer me some advice and or bring this issue into focus, if it hasn't been done already.
The issue in question is about mobile phone cashback schemes. To outline this in brief;
I ordered a mobile phone through an organisation called mobile rainbow from their website. 6 months later I am at a point where I needed to send my phone bills to mobile rainbow upon which they would send me my cashback.
I called them to check the details and was informed that as I didn't have a direct debit set up I was therefore disqualified from this scheme. Having tried in vain to talk to them and point out that nowhere is this info readily available unless one happens to scrutinise their terms and conditions page in small print that this is indeed the case.
I hope this is making some sense to you...
Anyhow, my point is that if I set up a direct debit now, 6 months later can I still claim my cashback scheme as their terms and conditions do not state that I cannot do so. In addition isn't it up to the company to send you these terms and conditions when you register or purchase a product through them? I am sure that when you purchase any product i.e form Argos etc they do have their terms and conditions enclosed with the product.
I would be really interested to find out whether there is some case to be made here.
Many thanks

I can't help you out but am interested in your (and any one elses) experience of these schemes.0
