Morning :hello:
I'm spending far too much time watching the egg videos on the channel 4 website. It's fascinating watching them hatch, but THIS one is the funniestI'm waiting for the humboldt penguins (my favourite) to hatch.
I've finished my blanket :jAlso made another cushion pad, it's a little bit too small though so I'll unravel one round of the cover, hopefully it'll fit.
Just enjoying a creme eggI'll whizz the hoover round and tidy up a bit, get dressed then I'm heading off to the pub.

Morning and Happy Easter everyone
I ate crumpets and drank coffee for breakfast. I find Hot cross buns too sweet. I am more of a savory person.
Oh made me laugh = he reckoned he was going to start drinking more tea as coffee was bad for you = health reasons. So I pointed out how much he smoked. Us girls are always complaining of smoke in the home.
No church here - we are not a very religious family. I took the kids when they were little and they went to Sunday school = trying to be a good mum. Their dad did not want to know.
No Easter eggs bought this year as we have no kids to buy for.
Dinner = we will be eating the traditional roast lamb and roast potato, vegetables. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Morning all
Late start for me today. Waiting to see what work crisis rears it's head today, Friday it was first thing in the morning, yesterday it was 6:30 and a locking up crisis. Fortunately we realised at around lunch time that their could be a problem with the contractors, so although & fancied a G & T after working in the garden, I resisted, good job as I won't drink & drive.
I've just finished a pink & white striped granny blanket & later on I'll start another one, also pink & white. I've sorted all my yarn out & have shedloads of pink, I'm trying to use it all up over the holiday.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone
Bright, and sunny with a few clouds covering the sun every now and then, similiar start to yesterday, which then gave us snow, sleet on and off for a couple of hours, so don't know what is to come later!
We woke rather later, menfolk were all in bed at a reasonable time as they were shattered and DS2 was reading his book and when DS1 looked in on him to say goodnight, he had fallen asleep, so we woke him enought to go to the bathroom and get his pj's on and then into bed. I did may normal and stayed up, promptly fell asleep on the sofa then woke in the early hours, went to bed and then slept late, now enjoying my second cuppa, will get a shower shortly.
We're another family that will be (hopefully!) enjoying roast lamb for lunch, the outlaws are coming for lunch, I will do all the normal trimmings to go with it, today we are having - roast pots, roast parsnips, mash, carrots, cauli/brocc cheese, braised red cabbage, peas, yorkshire puds, and gravy, dessert is HM cheesecake, (made this yesterday so all ready in the fridge). Hoping it all turns out ok as this is the first proper meal I've cooked in this oven so working a bit blind - I'm thinking it's not going to be too different to my old oven, that was a fan oven too. I can only do my best so not going to beat myself up about it. The outlaws will arrive only a little while before lunch and then eat stay a little while and then go - we should in theory get some time to ourselves once they have gone this afternoon.
Need to crack on otherwise the meat will be cooked, nothing else will be done and I'll still be wandering around in my pj's and dressing gown!
Have a peaceful Easter Sunday.
Keep safe and well x

Morning chums, bright but very chilly in north Kent at the moment My cousin in Oz just emailed me to say her and the family had just got home from a picnic and it was so hot the easter eggs were melting,no chance of that here
:)
My eldest DD also emailed to say its warm and sunny in Boston Grrrr when are we going to get some nice weather The clocks changed so its high time we at least got out of wearing coats scarves and hats for goodness sake.
Mainly pottering around day today not much to do but off to my youngest DDs this afternoon .DGD Holly phoned yesterday to say her Mum had left her with her c/card to buy shopping with but never left her pin no. brilliant idea I thought as DGD Holly does tend to go a bit mad given the chance, she won't go hungry however as her Mum stocked up the cupboards and freezer before she went My Dds not daft she knows what her DD is capable of:):) given a c/card and free rein
:)
Right I'm off to see what I fancy for lunch from the fridge
Have a great day whatever you are doing everyone
Cheers JackieO xxx0
