Claiming for flight delays

Options
TO ANYONE THAT CAN HELP
My name is Stephen and on the 5 jul 2006 me and my partner were on a flight from Belfast to Cancun for a 2wk hol. The flight was delayed for at least 4 hours the plane had a fault and it couldnt be fixed quickly so they had to fly a plane from else where. It was that long ago i cant remember who the company was ( I THINK IT WAS MY TRAVEL ) Who have been bought over but i havent any proof of the delay or of being on the flight. The link on Martins page wasnt any help. Does anybody know how i would go about getting this information or proof and who would you send it to because they have been bought over. KIND REGARDS STEPHEN.

Please read the FAQs that will direct you to the source of information. My Travel were taken over by Thomas Cook.
You are unlikely to get anywhere though as you if they say no you cannot now take them to court

Even Columbo would need more information than that...haha. If its been bought over, you would contact the company who bought them over. As it was 2006, time would be an issue.
  • Paul thanks very much for your reply. I think My Travel were bought over by Thomas cook. So would I direct the letter to them and would they have away out because they didnt own them at the time. And how would I go about getting proof of the delay and proof of being on the flight. Regards Stephen

have you read the FAQs....information is there, eg flightstats for proof of delay....also to check you are aware, as it is over 6 years, if the airline refuse to pay out (which they likely will), there is nothing you can do
