It can make you quite obsessive though can't it
i've got a 46 mile round trip to nearest asda and i'm actually sitting here wondering if i should go and get some pepsi :rotfl: i don't NEED any but boy do i want it
i suppose the novelty will wear off soon enough and i will settle down.
Trouble is, it very often doesn't wear off - the obsession ust gets worse ! I've been at it (in a relatively small way compared to some guys on here) for years - I started when tesco and Asda were both taking any coupons so long as they stocked the product (you didn't need to buy it). I well remember the days when check out staff would scan your shopping and then ask if you had any money off coupons ! And they would smile as they took the coupons off you. Then R&R, DTD, glitches - especially on comparisons, Tesco's crazy assertion that they could beat Asda on prices and their madness in giving DTD if they were't cheaper, Morrisons taking Tesco CC vouchers (even if they had already been used), Tesco accepting Asda APGs (again regardless of whether you'd already used them in Asda), points glitches - the list hopefully goes on and on.
I seriously need help to control my urge to go for glitches and bargains . Brand loyalty has gone out of the window and my shopping habits are dictated by offers and bargains. I find it almost impossible to resist a glitch and consequently , apart from milk, eggs fruit & veg, DH and I could live very well on my stock for at least a couple of years. And yet I STILL go on buying and enjoy the feeling of stealing a march on the overpriced supermarkets.ELITE 5:2

Morning all
Dad is more comfortable nw he has a catheter(ouch) as he hadn't been for 24 hours, nurses marked him as getting up to toilet
Had to have a firm word with them as this is impossible in his situation, they took the notes and wouldn't bring them back.
He even left the hospital yesterday, he was delirious and got him self dressed and walked right out to see if he could see his car!!!
Nobody saw or challenged him, but mum arrived and found him.
They thought he was a bit senile so treated him as such.
He worked all day monday and was even chopping logs in the afternoon, I had to explain that he works more hours than me!!!!
Sorry, rant over.
Hope we all have a peaceful, productive day. much love0 -

:T I think we are all in the same boat here! :TIt`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
The world is full of people throwing stones at us. Its what you do with them that counts. Build a wall or build a bridge.0 -

I should get to know their names a bit better.
Yesterday we had this strange little flock of birds eating something on one of my evergreens, reddish heads with a tuft, about the size of a starling but prettier, maybe 15 of them.
Then a couple of cute birds about the same size as a wren but in looks more like a pied wagtail without the long tail, eating something on one of my pear trees.
Loads of others such as woodpeckers incl some great big green fellers as well as the common ones.
All seem to be in a hurry to get the family going right now.
A birder would love it.

I have seen flocks of them on the east coast during the recent harsh winters and food shortages further north.Awaiting a new sig0 -
Good morning one and all.
((Hugs)) to 3 Dogs and Logie, hope your day is going to be a better one.
Im off sick and managing to read and keep up for a change, may just have to go and spend some of my (oopsie large) APGs away from my area, however its a 80 mile round trip.
I cant take anyone with me due to sweating, coughing, sneezing etc.
My reasoning is I have a top to return to Debs, cost me £35 and if I dont get it back soon they wont accept it back.
Im sure you can all see my reasoning, cant you?Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -

Is that why Lala has given it a break or is she just lurking.
I know that when I go away I can't get internet and for a day of so I pine for my bargain alerts.0 -
Just checked my receipt from last night and Honeydew Melons don't even show on APG. Also McVites Milk Digestives scanned at £1 and show on APG as that, so compared £2 to £1.74. These were 400g in ex Netto, but earlier in a different ex Netto they scanned at £1.75 (but paid 2 for £2.50 and compared £3.50 as expected), exactly the same biscuits!
It is odd as Honeydew appears on my receipt last night 9pm shop and my failed APG (as does Galia, both appearing as £1.50/£1.50 match). Others reported positive results for McVities too, so it is not always consistent unless there is something we are missing, like you definitely have to have a Flump and White Mouse (not large button) to make it glitch
I went for Double Chocolate last night which I think work out cheaper £3/£1.34, £2.50 paid so £1.66+10%= £1.82 APG = 68p for 2 Double Chocolate if I have calculated correctly.
