    Indeed I am thankyou :D

Had a busy morning with DS1s birthday cake

    P1010939_zpsa1eb2c3a.jpg

Cheated a bit this year and just stuck his little plastic Pat and Jess on but I'm sure he'll be happy enough with it. Last year I was more hardworking and modelled all of the Pontipines, Makka Pakka and Iggle Piggle from sugarpaste  Set the bar a little too high I think :p Just got to pop to Ts later for a candle (good excuse for a cheeky mooch at whoopsie time too ;))

Sure I'm more excited about tomorrow than he is. It is a double celebration though :) Almost looking forward to the final chemo just so I can get it out of the way now. Got an email from Yorkshire Tea after I told them about our plans saying they're sending me some tea as part of their 'Celebrate with us' FB promotion :T

:T:T:Tthis truly is a fantastic cake, you really are an inspirational lady and I hope you and your family are having a lovely day:A

    Thanks.

Do all supermarkets sell Staffordshire oatcakes?
I've never seen them here in the north east, but I love them!

I used to have them when I visited my gran near Stoke when I was growing up.

I really wish I could buy them local to me. :(

Ahh fuzzgun - we love these too - as rare as rocking horse poo in our area. Occasionally in one of the bigger Tesco's - but not seen them in the last year at all.

We try and stock up and freeze when we visit Macclesfield, Cheshire (just up from Stoke). Must take the time to se if there is a recipe when I have a minute ....
  • Sorry, this is completely off topic. I had a minimum sky t.v. package. No other services. I was paying #17.00 per month for it by direct debit. However, due to my cancelling, they rang me and persuaded me to go for SKY HD. They said it would cost about #25.00 per month. Now they've written to me saying they will be taking #45.00 odd from my bank account every week. Surely this can't be right. Does anyone think this is right? I tried to phone them. Finding their number is like a needle in haystack. But after 20 minutes on hold, Gave up. Cancelled my direct debit again. That will ensure I get a phone call from them.

I guess you mean £45 per month not week.

You need to challenge this and they should remedy it.

Just cancelling DD is probably not enough as (if you have entered into a new contract) they'll chase you for bad debt.

On saynoto0870 there are usually some working free phone options.

However, I find SkyTV quite amenable to giving you reduced packages if you are nice on the phone and firm about termination as too expensive/ unaffordable for your budget.

See my next post re TalkTalk though pls! :D
  • Read back a page or 2 and all will be revealed :)
Thanks, just have done :) still a bit confused lol

  • OK TalkTalk - I see from MSE today they reckon TalkTalk is one of the easiest to get a reduced deal from http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/negotiate-with-service-providers?utm_source=MSE_Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=09-Apr-13&utm_campaign=phones&utm_content=99

Anybody got experience of haggling with TalkTalk and what did you achieve? TIA
  • Thankyou so much Westie - which A's did you find the cheese? there was none at B of Dee earlier this week - shelves were ransacked so thinking of trying the airport one..............

Afternoon all, not been on for a long while (I had only been on briefly during the milk tray shop) but have been looking in more recently. Was carer to my mum and brother but sadly both passed away 8 weeks apart. Just getting my self together now.

No cheese at Bridge of Dee last night but yesterday afternoon
I did find cheese at the beach. Hope this helps. Many thanks to the Cheese/Pies/Biscuits ops as I have managed to share the goodies between family.

Thinking of all who are going through it just now. Take care. xx

    It was the ordinary ribena

Was the Ribena nas or ordinary. My DD drinks loads of Ribena so could combine with a rice shop maybe

So both normal and nas are proven, meaning 2 of each = 2 of your 8 items.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

No that can't be right - log in to your account online and it should show you your current package/price.

With Sky, you should be able to get half price on a retentions deal if you play hard ball. If this is not what you have got, I would phone back and query/cancel the upgrade. Don't worry, they should be back in touch.
