Morning all, nearly halfway to the weekend
Morning all.
Flo Flo - in Canada referred to 'hump day' (as in over the hump of the week). We find it quite difficult not to snigger at fb messages wishing you a happy hump day :rotfl: Just not got the same connotation as here ...........
So everyone Happy Hump Day :j0 -
Thanks.
Do all supermarkets sell Staffordshire oatcakes?
I've never seen them here in the north east, but I love them!
I used to have them when I visited my gran near Stoke when I was growing up.
I really wish I could buy them local to me.
Yes they sell them in Staffs, but the clue might be in the name
Nowehere near as good as the properly fresh made ones0 -
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but as a new joiner/observer of this thread, what is so good about APG? If all these products are more expensive in Asda, then why not buy them in whichever place is cheapest?
Someone will explain this better than me I'm sure, but the APG gives you an extra 10%, they guarantee they will be 10% cheaper than anyone else so if cheese is £6 in A and £5 in T you would get back £1.10 (I think, brain addled).
However one of the best things is that they make mistakes, hence the cheese etc.

Just for you Savvy
I was never going to complain about the 1p as this was when I got
the DTD back for all those wipes :rotfl:Many a mickle makes a muckle.0 -
Artha I don't know where I fit in in your system.
I buy early systems late and make them last as long as possible,. My main computer's a second -hand mac 11 years old but I can still make usefull documents, watch streaming telly, sync my ipod.;)
Kind of glad I don't own a tomtom/ipad/kindle or any other newfangled nonsense etc. I have bought a smartphone now but that's my main concession to the 21st century.:D
Probably in a similar slot to me then but I'm gradually adjusting to the 21st century after realising that I'm hanging on to some of my kit partly out of inverse snobbery:rotfl:Awaiting a new sig0 -

However Westvleteren has only bought 1 mature and 1 lighter mature so could it be that we now need lighter mature as the trigger? I don't understand though where the £8 comes from in Iamsohappys shop as its £4.28 or 2 for £5

Sorry, this is completely off topic. I had a minimum sky t.v. package. No other services. I was paying #17.00 per month for it by direct debit. However, due to my cancelling, they rang me and persuaded me to go for SKY HD. They said it would cost about #25.00 per month. Now they've written to me saying they will be taking #45.00 odd from my bank account every week. Surely this can't be right. Does anyone think this is right? I tried to phone them. Finding their number is like a needle in haystack. But after 20 minutes on hold, Gave up. Cancelled my direct debit again. That will ensure I get a phone call from them.0

Hi, does anyone know if T's will accept a £5 off £40 voucher, then a £4 off £30 voucher in the same shop (if I hand them over in the right order!)
Many thanks.0 -

Thanks, I suppose you have to a. need the stuff you are buying anyway and b. have an Asda close by so that your gains are not offset by time and petrol spent going out of your way.0
