    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
i posted results earlier today which were from a womble from yesterday for the cheese which showed no multibuy on the APG and compared at full price but was similar price elsewhere, then it went cheaper at sainbugs today and someone (sorry cant remember name) went and did the shop again today and it compared again at the full price agaist the cheaper sainbug price :)

Hope this is a goer tom then:)

    I'm glad it's worked-

    Why £1.19?

8 items on your bill qualify for comparisonASDALogoWhite.gif Morrisons

    +£0.71CheaperSignBlue.gif
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Apple Pies (6)£0.50£0.50
1 x ASDA Smartprice Milk Chocolate Bar (100g)£0.30£0.30
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Cornflakes (750g)£0.46£0.46
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Raspberry Sponge Sandwich£0.58£0.58
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Cooked Ham (400g)£1.69£0.98
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Tissues White (225)£0.65£0.65
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Mixed Vegetables (1Kg)£0.75£0.75
1 x ASDA Smartprice Medium Sliced Brown Bread (800g)£0.50£0.50
    Comparison total£5.43£4.72

Everything coming back with prices vs M. Bottom to top then - why not!? - I thought Savers Wholemeal Bread was 47p in M? However, as that should be N/A (from the A item, which is Brown not Wholemeal - A is N/A to S Basics Wholemeal!), it's knocked a few pence off - of course bread should be got as whoopsies not compared at full prices like this!

The S/P Cooked Ham is vs a glitched price!! The S/P Cornflakes should be N/A vs M, as M is 500g, in common with T & S, not the 750g size in A. This confirms a slight glitch still working on them this week on the APG vs M (outside Northern Ireland - sorry, N.I. - no M's avail. near you so no comp. vs M avail. for you).

[Edit: S/P Tinned Pineapple Pieces were also bought on this supposedly 'safe' shop, but not showing on comparison. Makes no difference here as they are N/A vs everyone anyway. But - don't use them to try to make up your 8 different items!]

I don't know Cardiff very well but I think there is at least one small waitrose in the city centre - can anyone confirm this? If you get a temp waitrose card (usually found in store) you can get a free take away coffee - I do this in Chester, small city centre store with a self service coffee machine.
Also on the discount thread there is a thread about some free samples of divine cream from loccataine - it's a print off voucher so all 4 adults can get some.
Also free samples of Est!e laude double wear, again a print off voucher - not sure where I saw this.

Perhaps if we all put our heads together we can think of more freebies or cheap things to do in Cardiff? :D

Thanks MHOC, Waitrose is a great idea for coffee. I'm off to look up where it is. Also Loccataine sounds good so discount thread is the next port of call! Will have a search for the EL, I'm sure I've seen it somewhere. There are only two adults though, not four- we need two rooms for our family as we have six children. That's why everything needs to be cheap!
    Thanks for your great ideas.
    x

Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x

EDIT-Back on the quest, I've been away too long!

I haven't tried the Finest shops yet but have three of the four above. I always avoid Milk as £1 each in As normally mucks up APGs (I did try once vM with 3 as they were 3 for £3 but it came back NA so haven't tried since).
