My poor daughter and her bf
I think they must have been at work but when they came back they found that the pipes under the bath had suddenly gone, burst or something, flooded the flat underneath and also gone under the living room floor etc
The landlord has taken responsibility and the plumber has been in go sort it out.
They actually move in under 2 weeks so they were already in the midst of packing so the flat is in even more chaos now.
Various reasons for moving but one of the main reasons is that the owner of the flat has managed to get a buyer, sale agreed a few weeks ago to 1st time buyers so they were hoping to complete and move in ASAP
Daughter sounded so depressed on the phone and nothing much we can do for them just now, at least the flat is still habitable
Poor kids, I can understand why they're feeling down and probably thinking 'this is the last thing we need'. Hope there wasn't too much damage to their belongings, and they can look forward to moving out soon.madmuppet5 wrote: »Good evening all

My Mum used to keep (and still does) all of her sewing stuff in a Quality Street tin (the mahoosive ones and not the diddly little ones they try and palm us off with). Needles, buttons, cotton, patches of denim, the lot. It was like a freaking tardis. If you popped it open you'd spend half an hour picking stuff off the floor. By which time Mum would have mended the garment. Dad used to keep cake bars and biscuits in a Quality Street tin too. Mad used to like swapping them around :rotfl:Evening VT
